Fairtrade announce 4th edition of plastprintpack Nigeria on 27 to 29 March 2018 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos

Nigeria being the 2nd largest importer of plastics, printing and packaging technology in sub-Saharan Africa, many global leaders as well as country pavilions from Austria, China, Germany, Italy, Spain and Turkey already confirmed their participation. It is on this backdrop that the German trade fair specialists fairtrade Messe announce the 4th edition of plastprintpack Nigeria for 27 to 29 March 2018 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos. The event takes place concurrently with its partner event agrofood Nigeria.

According to the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics the country found its way out of recession as GDP in the second quarter of 2017 grew by 0.55% year-on-year in real terms.

According to the VDMA imports of plastics machinery stood at 54 million Euro in 2016, imports of printing & paper technology at 41 million Euro and imports of packaging technology at 113 million Euro. As such Nigeria is the 2nd largest importer of such technologies in sub-Saharan Africa.
New country pavilions from Austria, Spain and Turkey - China, Germany and Italy again confirmed for 2018
plastprintpack Nigeria 2018 will see three important premieres as Austria, Spain and Turkey will for the first time participate join with official country pavilions whereas China, Germany and Italy again confirmed also for 2018. Germany will again leave a heavy footprint with the official German Pavilion supported by the German ministry for economic affairs, AUMA and the VDMA Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association.
3-day conference program plastprintpack Nigeria 2018 will be completed by three days of presentations and conferences. The opening session is scheduled for 27 March 2018 featuring personalities from politics and trade.
Strong institutional support plastprintpack Nigeria 2018 is supported by the Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Advantage Austria, AHK-Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Nigeria, AVEP, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, IOPN-Institute of Packaging Nigeria, NGBA-Nigerian-German Business Association, the Turkish Exporters Assembly and VDMA German Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association.
